Job Description:

A local custom manufacturer of commercial/industrial energy-recovery and air-handling equipment is looking for the skilled HVAC candidates for Contract to Hire Opportunities in North East Minneapolis.

The following opportunities are great entry level positions for recent grads of A.A.S. in HVAC:

-Refrigeration Prep

-Electrical Test Technicians

-Electrical Panel Assemblers

Shifts:

1st Shift: 6:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Friday

2nd Shift: 2:00pm to 10:00pm Monday through Friday

Qualifications:

-A.A.S. in HVAC or minimum 1 year experience in above positions.

-Ability to read measuring devices

-Ability to read and understand instructions

-Ability to use basic hand tools

-Ability to distinguish pipe sizes and types

-Ability to braze with different alloys and metals

-Basic math skills

Responsibilities:

-Thorough review of refrigeration unit assembly drawings and electrical/refrigeration schematics, BOMS, and heating/cooling systems, testing components, sensors, controls, and system performance.

-Ensure proper sequence of operation of the unit according to customer and engineering specifications

-Develop a strategy to identify placement of copper piping and components.

-Prepare, Mount and install refrigeration components (coils, compressors, coax, etc.).

-Physical review of components to ensure proper prep work is complete.

-Drill holes, install pipe, install pipe supports, and add valves and fittings to dry fit system.

-Brazing of systems which includes brazing pre-assembled lines outside of the unit.

-Reconstruct system and perform final braze.

-Perform pressure check of system to validate there are no leaks and proper assembly.

-Wrap required pipes and clamp lines to pipe supports.

-Operate overhead lifting equipment and material handling equipment as needed based on safety guidelines.

-Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
