Position Title: Small Equipment Mechanic

Location: St Michael, MN

Salary Interval: Hourly

Pay_Range: $35.00 - $40.00

Position Description: Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified applicants for a Small Equipment Mechanic position. Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition, and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region Our team welcomes individuals who are passionate about their work and committed to delivering quality workmanship with integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Emphasize safety as Rachel's number one value.
• Repair and maintenance of small engine equipment including: plate packers, jumping jacks, generators, pumps, light plants, pickup trucks.
• Repair and maintenance of trailers and heavy equipment attachments.
• Repair and maintenance of skid steers, dump trucks and other small construction equipment.
• Repair/refurbish old equipment.
• Assist field mechanics with repairs and maintenance of large construction equipment as needed.
• Proper use of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, telehandlers, cranes, and other lifting devices.
• Interact professionally and work well with the team.
• Work both independently and collaboratively.
• Effectively manage time and resources to meet deadlines and ensure quality.
• Responsible for good housekeeping of work area.
• Be able to perform physical work including but not limited to: repetitive motions; standing, kneeling, bending over for extended periods; the ability to lift at least 50-70 pounds.
• Perform other work as assigned by supervisor.
  Position Requirements: Position Qualification Preferences:
  • Minimum of 5 years of diversified experience.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
