chemists use their knowledge of chemicals and composition to help
produce various products used in the plating industry. They work
with production staff to ensure that production meets all
deadlines, as well as quality standards. This is a manufacturing
environment, not a biological environment, where work is done in
the shop to collect samples from tanks, etc.Perform titrations,
Atomic Absorption Spectrometer analysis, Salt Spray testing, and
other analysis and testing as neededMaintain and document chemical
analysis & material usageAssist Lab Manager in training
personnelAssist Lab Manager in scheduling bath changes, treatment,
addition, and preventative maintenanceResearch and develop new
products from chemical suppliersTroubleshoot production line
chemical problems in a timely manner, involving suppliers as
necessaryDevelop and maintain written procedures for all chemical
activities and analysisKeep work areas, lab equipment, floors,
countertops, cabinets, etc. cleanOrganize and maintain lab
