Department Overview

The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services, help with adjustment issues, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocate support, and short-term therapeutic interventions.

Position Summary

To provide clinical assessment, therapeutic intervention and resource mobilization for families and children who have complex psycho-social and emotional needs in a multi-disciplinary pediatric hospital, clinic, and homecare setting. Pediatric social workers provide these services to children 0-18 years of age and their families.

Minnesota state LICSW required. Master's degree in Social Work. Knowledge of Community Resources. Experience providing crisis intervention. Two years' experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years' experience in a pediatric related setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings. This position will bill for services.

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
