Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Prepared Foods Cook to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our prepared foods team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food items for our customers. • Food Preparation: Prepare food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets and recipes.
• Food Presentation: Ensure that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated to maintain a high level of presentation.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques to promote sales.
• Inventory Management: Monitor food levels and replenish in a timely manner to maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Requirements
• Education and Experience: 6-12 months retail experience preferred.
• Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and teamwork skills, ability to follow recipes and presentation guidelines, and basic math skills.
