Position Title: STAIR AND RAILING WELDER FABRICATORLocation: Waite Park MinnesotaPosition Type: Full TimeJob Category: ProductionPosition Description: Ben's Structural Fabricating is looking for an aspiring and detailed individual to join our Miscellaneous Metals team working on a variety of tasks related to welding and fabricating, specifically for railings, handrails, stairs, and other non-structural building components.This is an artful and critical role in our fabrication process here at Ben's, we take pride in all our steel fabrication projects, our top-of-the-line automation, our quality assurance, and our commitment to safety and most importantly, our people. We're more than a team, we're a family.Daily Responsibilities:Use of Dragon automated pipe bending machineUse of fully automated layout table, tacking pieces together while spending a large amount of time kneeling on top of the 10+ feet long tableReview blueprints to accurately determine weld requirements and fabricate weldmentSurface preparation prior to and after welding; sand, grind, wire brush, degrease, etc (Roughly 50% of position)Conduct GMAW-pulse (MIG) welding in the flat and horizontal positions, on multiple types of surfaces including mild steel and stainless-steel componentsFrequent lifting of 50-100 lbsWork Life BalanceMonday-Thursday, 6:00am to 4:15pmNo weekends!Possible overtime on Fridays, 6:00am-3:00pmCompetitive Wages & Benefits IncludedStarting wages $24-$28 or more based on years of experienceFull Benefits ProgramUniforms ProvidedEmployee Appreciation EventsFun and Positive Working EnvironmentRequired skills:Proven welding skills - Preferred 1-2 years or more of current MIG experience on multiple types of surfaces (mild steel, stainless steel, etc.)Must be Able to pass a Horizontal (2G) weld qualification test upon hireAbility to read blueprints containing dimensions, common weld symbols, and weld specificationsA passion for and commitment to production weldingMust have a High School Diploma or equivalentApplicants who have successfully completed a welding curriculum from an accredited technical college and those that have the ability to weld in vertical up position (3G) are strongly desired.
