Electrical Designer (Hybrid/Remote)
Our growing firm is looking for passionate problem-solvers driven to make a real impact: we're hiring an Electrical Designer. Our Electrical team is focused on the design of electrical power systems for industrial facilities - ethanol, specialty chemical, grain handling, and feed mills. We also design green energy solutions (solar) for municipal and industrial clients as they grow their renewable energy portfolios. Analytical services for new and existing power systems include load flow studies, short circuit analysis, arc flash risk assessment, and power factor correction.

Your role:
The Designer works with Engineers and Project Managers to prepare complete construction documents and assists during the construction support phase.

• 
  
• Layout plans, sections and details to specified CAD standards and generate 3D models of electrical systems working directly with engineers or project managers.
  
• Create on-line diagrams, power and lighting plans.
  
• Provide direction and distribute work to Technicians.
  
• Review and back-check Technician's work.
  
• Coordinate designs with team members and product vendors.
  
• Communicate with clients and/or contractors regarding RFI's and field questions.
  
• Review shop drawings.
  
• Further, develop design skills to support the advancement of technical expertise.
  
• Attend internal coordination meetings and client coordination meetings.
  
• May require occasional travel for site observations and field measurements.
  
  
  Your resume must include:
  
  • 
    
  • Certificate in construction-related design/drafting or higher and at least 3 years of directly related experience.
    
  • OR at least 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of certificate.
    
  • Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
    
    
    Starting Hourly Range: $28.50 - $33.50. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
