Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Minneapolis, MN, on a long-term contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance and annuities, with the ability to analyze and interpret upstream data flows and leverage SQL for data exploration. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities:

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for insurance and annuities-related projects.
Understand and interpret upstream data processes to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Utilize basic SQL skills to query and analyze data for insights, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Work closely with business and technical teams to bridge gaps and ensure alignment on project goals.
Develop and maintain process documentation, workflows, and business models.
Assist in defining and improving business processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide regular project updates.



Required Skills & Qualifications:



8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the insurance or annuitiesdomain.
Strong understanding of insurance and annuities concepts and related business processes.
Ability to analyze and comprehend upstream data flows and their impact on business operations.
Proficiency in basic SQL for querying databases and performing data validation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.



Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with insurance policy administration systems.
Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
