SUMMARY:The Senior Director of AI & Enterprise Architecture is a
visionary leader responsible for driving AI-powered transformation
across NMDP. This role focuses on leveraging AI to accelerate
business growth, enhance operational efficiency, drive innovation,
advance research, and manage enterprise risk. The Senior Director
leads AI strategy, architecture, and engineering, ensuring AI is
embedded as a core capability across all enterprise functions.This
position also spearheads the Enterprise Transformative Architecture
function, identifying, evaluating, and integrating emerging
technologies to align with NMDP's strategic priorities. By building
and leading a cutting-edge AI ecosystem, this leader ensures that
AI and modern architecture solutions drive measurable business
impact and competitive differentiation.Additionally, the Senior
Director is responsible for establishing and scaling an AI Center
of Excellence (AI CoE) that fosters cross-functional collaboration,
governance, and AI literacy across the organization. The AI CoE
will play a pivotal role in guiding AI adoption, optimizing
enterprise workflows, enabling intelligent decision-making, and
ensuring responsible AI practices. This role requires a strong
blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and
cross-organizational leadership to position NMDP at the forefront
of AI-driven innovation.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with
NMDP's business priorities.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across all
business functions.
- Establish AI architecture frameworks that integrate seamlessly
with enterprise applications and data ecosystems.
- Define and drive AI adoption roadmaps, ensuring alignment with
compliance, ethical AI principles, and regulatory standards.
- Champion Responsible AI practices, ensuring AI solutions are
explainable, fair, and unbiased.AI Architecture & Engineering
Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing AI engineering and
architecture team focused on AI-driven enterprise solutions.
- Oversee the full AI development lifecycle, including data
pipelines, model deployment, intelligent automation, and AI-driven
decision-making.
- Design and implement scalable, cloud-optimized AI
infrastructure aligned with enterprise security and governance to
support AI initiatives.
- Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams to ensure AI models
leverage high-quality, governed datasets.
- Partner with Enterprise Core Architecture to integrate AI
capabilities into ERP, CRM, finance, HR, and other core business
systems.AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE)
- Establish and lead the AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE) to
drive enterprise-wide AI innovation, governance, and best
practices.
- Develop frameworks for AI model lifecycle management, ensuring
robustness, reliability, and compliance.
- Foster AI literacy across NMDP through education, training, and
cross-functional collaboration.
- Serve as a thought leader on AI trends, emerging technologies,
and ethical AI considerations.
- Facilitate partnerships with academia, vendors, and industry
leaders to enhance AI capabilities.
- Evaluate and architect emerging technologies (Blockchain, IoT,
Extended Reality, Quantum Computing) to drive AI-powered
transformation.
- Define and implement modern architecture principles to support
scalable, cloud-native, and event-driven enterprise
applications.
- Lead R&D initiatives to experiment with and pilot emerging
technologies for potential enterprise adoption.
- Align modern architecture principles with AI transformation
efforts to create next-generation digital solutions.
- Develop a roadmap for adopting emerging technologies, ensuring
alignment with NMDP's strategic objectives.Collaboration,
Governance, & Cross-Functional Influence
- Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership, ensuring AI
and modern architecture initiatives align with business
priorities.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration between AI teams, data
engineers, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders.
- Co-lead technology strategy, governance frameworks, and
enterprise solution architecture to support AI initiatives.
- Represent NMDP in AI and modern architecture discussions with
industry partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies.REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:Technical Expertise
- Deep expertise in AI, machine learning, cloud computing, and
modern architecture principles.
- Strong understanding of AI model deployment, MLOps, and
AI-driven automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google
Cloud.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, finance, HR) and
their integration with AI solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related
to AI and data privacy.Leadership & Strategic Abilities
- Proven ability to develop and execute AI and modern
architecture strategies at an enterprise scale.
- Experience building and leading high-performing,
cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to influence executive leadership and drive
cross-organizational change.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to
translate complex AI concepts into business impact.Education and/or
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science,
Engineering, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience leading AI, data, or modern
architecture teams in a large enterprise setting.
- 8-10 years of experience in technology, including AI, data, and
modern architecture tools and platforms.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Advanced degree in AI, Data Science, or a related field.
- Certifications in AI, Machine Learning, or Cloud
Computing.
- Experience driving AI strategy and enterprise-wide adoption in
a regulated industry.
- Thought leadership in AI ethics, Responsible AI, and emerging

Information.NMDP is committed to fostering an environment of
transparency and fairness in our compensation practices. To support
this commitment, we provide clear and upfront information about the
salary range for this position. The anticipated salary range for
this role is $182,000-$228,000 and will be commensurate with market
pay, experience and qualifications.Additional Information
