And we're looking to add to our team!The Structural Welder position is a key part of our fabrication process where you will primarily be responsible for fitting steel parts, tacking, or welding parts to beams, columns, trusses, and other structural building components. Ben's Structural Fabrication takes pride in all our steel fabrication projects, our quality assurance, and our commitment to safety and most importantly, our people.Essential Duties:Review shop drawings and interpret them to determine weld requirementsSurface preparation prior to and after welding (sand, grind, wire brush, degrease, etc.)Set up and operate welding equipmentConduct GMAW-pulse (MIG) welding in the flat and horizontal positions, on mild steel componentsFrequent lifting of 50-100 lbsFrequent and safe use of overhead crane expectedJob Details:Schedule has No Weekends!Work Monday-Thursday, 6:00am to 4:15pm.Occasional overtime is possible on Fridays from 6:00am-3:00pm.Report directly to our shop in Waite Park, no on-site project welding required.Starting pay ranges from $24-$28 per hour or more based on years of experience.Requirements:Proven welding skills in GMAW - preferred 1 to 2+ years of MIG-pulse experienceMust be able to pass a Horizontal (2G) weld qualification testAbility to work in a fast-paced settingReliable, self-motivated, team-oriented, adept communication skillsDetail-oriented with ability to inspect material for qualityA passion for the product, "feel-for-steel"Ability to read prints containing dimensions, common weld symbols, and weld specificationsMust have a High School Diploma or equivalentApplicants who have successfully completed a welding curriculum from an accredited technical college, and those that have the ability to weld in vertical up position (3G), are strongly desired.Ready to Apply?It's easy!
