Foreman/Supervisor - Landscape Construction

Apex Outdoor Inc. is a service company headquartered in Shakopee, MN, encompassing all of your outdoor needs with over 30 years of industry experience. We offer complete Grounds Care for both summer and winter for HOAs/Apartments/Commercial Properties, along with Landscaping, Irrigation, and Lawn Applications as well as deck building, maintenance, remodeling, siding and roofing.

The Landscape Foreman/Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction of the project/job-site. The Foreman/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all on-site aspects of landscape construction projects. Duties include staging materials, planting hardscapes irrigation, flowers, mulch, rock, sod and seed. Attention to detail and multitasking are qualities needed for this position.

Responsibilities:
--- Manage the execution of construction projects, planning labor requirements, equipment requirements, and material deliveries and timing to ensure completion of jobs within projected deadlines.
--- Supervise, coordinate and schedule the day-to-day work activities of a landscaping crew of 2 to 5 employees.
--- Operate various tools and equipment, including heavy equipment, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
--- Complete all paperwork required on a daily basis.
--- Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company PPE standards.
--- Employee Training.

Qualifications:
--- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
--- Minimum of 5 years experience in the landscape/construction industry.
--- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe manner.
--- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
--- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines - Time Management Skills.
--- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
--- Must possess a valid driver's license.
--- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
--- Speak, read and write English.
--- Carry and use a smartphone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting.
