Regulatory Affairs, you will manage a team of regulatory
professionals and provide strategic leadership to our business

emerging regulatory affairs issues at the state and federal levels.
The Director of National Regulatory Affairs will oversee tracking
of regulatory issues, relationships, and outreach to federal
agencies to share information. This role will interact with staff
from Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, Legal, External Affairs, and
business teams across the Organization to ensure a coordinated
approach. The Director of National Regulatory Affairs also assists
business partners with advocacy writing and preparing senior
leaders for external meetings.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work
remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough
challenges.Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports National Regulatory Affairs in tracking and
identifying state and federal guidance and rulemaking impacting the
business
- Engaging and leading business partners with reviewing,
analyzing and developing policy recommendations related to proposed
and existing regulatory changes to ensure regulatory guidance is
consistent with business goals
- Collaborates with business, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory
Affairs, and External Affairs colleagues to develop, review,
analyze, and engage on implementation of advocacy strategies
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate legal and
operational impacts of federal guidance and rulemaking to the
business
- Understanding of the business and regulatory environments of
commercial marketplace and government programs
- Background in structuring effective communications strategies
to help influence agency decision makingAdditional
Responsibilities:
- Supports development of existing and new tracking capabilities
related to state and federal legislation and regulations
- Produces and supports communications to business regarding
proposed and final state and federal legislation and
regulations
- Refines written work products to ensure that they are accurate,
high quality, and written in a consistent voice
- Maintains awareness of current and emerging trends/changes in
the business and regulatory environmentsYou'll be rewarded and

you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in a health care and/or managed care in
a regulatory environment
- Persuasive and factual writing with high degree of accuracy and
attention to detail for internal and external audiences
- Proficient in data management through Excel, SharePoint, and
TeamsPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with or for federal regulatory
agencies such as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Centers for
Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, or Department of
Labor including Employee Benefits Security Administration
- Juris Doctorate Degree with 5+ years of experience in health
care and or managed care in a regulatory environment*All employees
working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's
Telecommuter Policy.The salary range for this role is $124,500 to
$239,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on
several factors including but not limited to local labor markets,
education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group
complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to
your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a
comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs,
equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are
